Bowdoinhammer - Week of August 7th to the 13th

Mailing Postcards, Making Art, and 3042 Bowdoinhammers.

How you doin', Bowdoinhammer?

I was super excited when I opened the PO Box and saw a POSTCARD in there!!

It's not on topic at all but I'll take it as a win.

The Postcard project is ongoing, so if you want to be involved, make/buy a postcard and put your sentiment/story/poem about Bowdoinham on it and mail it to PO Box 181, Bowdoinham, ME. 04008. As you can tell, I love getting mail.

If your in the mood for art, swing by the Merrymeeting Arts Center Gallery on Saturdays. They have this “Gallery for Everyone” thing going on and it’s a new exhibit every week. I popped in on Saturday to see what was up and Michael Albert was there holding a workshop on collage making (co-sponsored by the Bowdoinham Public Library). If he's ever in town again, you should check him out. This one is my favorite:

Bowdoinham is such a cool little town. Not only do we have crosswalks, we have TWO art galleries!

Here's a list of what's coming up this week. The bold events are unique.
