It's gonna be a scary week.

Bowdoinhammer - Week of October 30th to November 5th.

Happy Monday BoooOOOOooodoinhammers,

I want to start off this newsletter with a quote that I found while dubbing around on the internet this weekend. I think it probably fits the mood.

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.

Robert Frost

So now it’s the season for strangely dressed beggars to be knocking on our doors, demanding sweets. It’s best to give in to their demands. You might also want to keep an eye out for these goblins if you’re out driving around. Candy on their brain makes them scurry unpredictably.

Another scarry thing happening this week… property taxes are duuuUUUUuuuee on Wednesday. Did you know that you can view your property taxes from last year to this year online? No matter how you feel about paying taxes, you should probably know what the town is up to with those dollars. A good way to find that out is by watching the meetings or reading the agendas and the minutes. The Internet is pretty amazing stuff.

Finally, as if scary ghosts and taxes weren’t enough, we’re being robbed of an hour of daylight on Sunday. Roll your clocks back an hour, unless you like to be super early to things.

Here’s what’s on the schedule this week…

Send us a Postcard!

The Bowdoinhammer Postcard Project is an ongoing community art project. If you would like to be involved, make/buy a postcard and put your sentiment/story/poem about Bowdoinham on it and mail it to

PO Box 181, Bowdoinham, ME. 04008.

Once we get enough of them, we'll have a gallery exhibit at Merrymeeting Arts Center.

You’ve made it to the end of the newsletter! I guess, looking back, it wasn’t that scary.

I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween.

Love,

Rodney
