The kids are on their winter break. It’s a known fact that they will probably turn into roving hoards of hooligans if they become hungry. Don’t forget, the Bowdoinham Country Store makes really good pizza.

In our house, when we’re not busy eating pizza, we watch movies, make art, work on puzzles, and try very hard to make each other laugh.

If you have kids/grandkids, what do you do during winter break to keep these wild beasts busy?

As you may recall from a previous newsletter edition, we mentioned that we get about 20 new views a week to Bowdoinhammer.com. Well, now were at 350 somehow. Almost all of the views are from Poland though. 😆 

Do we have any Polish speaking Bowdoinhammers? If we were to write some sort of greeting in Polish on the website, what should it say?

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST

• Bridge players can enjoy weekly game play at the Bowdoinham Fire Station (57 Post Rd.) 9:30am to Noon. FMI: Judy Gray, 666-3025. The group welcomes all players. Current players range from high scoring duplicate players to seniors who played in college and newbies who have taken a class.

• In-person shopping for ALL Bowdoin and Bowdoinham residents at the Bowdoinham Food Pantry (9 Main St.) 4pm to 6pm.

• Silver Striders Walking Club in the Bowdoinham Community School gymnasium (23 Cemetery Rd.) 4:30 to 7pm. Please be sure to bring clean shoes to wear when inside the school! CANCELED

• Pickleball in the Bowdoinham Community School gymnasium (23 Cemetery Rd.) 4:30 to 8pm. This is open to adults of any age and ability. The group has friendly games with mixed levels of competition. New to Pickleball and want to learn? Stop by and check it out! CANCELED
