Out like a lamb?

Bowdoinhammer - Week of April 1st to the 7th.

Happy April Fool’s Day to you Bowdoinhammer!

Is that the SUN out there? We don’t know about you, but we’re excited for some Spring. Sadly, I think Mother nature has a belated April Fool’s prank for us in the middle of the week. Maybe we shouldn’t put our faith in a Pennsylvanian rodent who didn’t even go to meteorological school.

In other news, we’d like to give a shout-out to Jason Lamoreau, the town’s Recreation and Community Services Director. He’s doing a fantastic job with the monthly Age-Friendly Bowdoinham Newsletter as it’s another great source of information. If you want to get yourself some of that, shoot an email to [email protected] and ask to be added to the mailing list.

Some highlights for this week:

  1. Exercise your trivia brain Monday night at Three Robbers.

  2. There won’t be pickleball on Wednesday because the school gymnasium is being used for a school play. You could bone up on YouTube pickleball videos if you feel like you’re missing out (this guy is interesting, too).

  3. On Friday, Roll on by the Pop-up Cafe in the morning for some coffee and hob-nobbing before taking the first of six acrylic pouring classes (pre-register now because there’s only a couple seats left), and then finish the day at the Luke McFadyen Memorial Edible Book Festival.

  4. On Saturday, the Recycling Barn is accepting sorted items for recycling, Age-Friendly Bowdoinham and the AARP is hosting a shredding event, and the Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Department is doing a medication takeback during the shred-a-thon.
