Bowdoinhammer - Week of April 15th to the 21st.
Happy Monday, Bowdoinhammer!
We went to the open mic last night and had a blast. Thank You to Jen Kelley, Merrymeeting Arts Center, Watersong Music, and everyone that participated. It takes some impressive courage to get up in front of people you don’t know and sing, no matter how talented you are.
Jen promised that open mic will return next month. We can’t wait to see the talent that’ll come out for that one.

Here are this week’s highlights…
Today is Patriots Day, so the Town Office will be closed and Spring Break starts for all good little MSAD 75 children everywhere.
No Pickleball this week because the school is closed for Spring Break. It’ll give you more time to watch YouTube videos.
On Wednesday, the advisory committee for Age-Friendly Bowdoinham will be hosting a meeting with members of the community and organizations who have the opportunity to engage with isolated adults in town.
The Loose Ladies Book Club will be meeting on Thursday to discuss the April book selection “Frozen River” by Ariel Lawhon. Next month, the book will be “The Women” by Kristin Hannah.
Breaking Bread in Bowdoinham will be doing their thing on Friday morning. Honestly, it should be every morning.
Spring Bulk Waste Day is on Saturday. Also, If you want to help clean up a road or street in town, the Public Works Facility will give you FREE gloves and bags.
The Community Brunch scheduled for Sunday (not the church one) has been canceled. George Oliver told us that it was too much for his small organization to handle without more volunteers, but more importantly, a coordinator is needed. If you’re interested in volunteering your expertise, email George at [email protected] and he can give you the skinny.
There’s more info about these and other events down below, so keep scrolling.
Not this week, but NEXT week, a program called Matter of Balance will be starting at the Bowdoinham Fire Station. Folks who are concerned about falling should check it out. It’s an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. For more information, call Allie Eck at (207) 373-6970.
During the entire month of April, get yourself a mouth-watering Hawaiian Chicken BBQ pizza for only $19.99 (+tax) at the Bowdoinham Country Store. (207) 666-5571.

We blew up our TV
Threw away our paper
Went to the country
Built us a home
Had a lot of children
Fed 'em on peaches
They all found Jesus on their own
That’s about it this week, dear Bowdoinhammer. Won’t you join us next week to see what’s up?
Love
Rodney & Tessa
