Bowdoinhammer - Week of April 29th to May 5th
Happy Monday, Bowdoinhammer!
Our forsythia is blooming, pine cones are falling, and the birds won’t shut up. Spring is in the air, my friend. Pretty soon it’ll be time to clean the inside of your car windshield or organize that junk drawer.
We’re curious, do you have any spring cleaning tips or rituals that work really well for you? Bonus points if you include methods of motivation that don’t involve multiple pots of coffee.
Highlights for this week:
Curious about how to get the most out of Telehealth? There will be a FREE class offered by the Library and the National Digital Equity Center on Wednesday.
The Cemetery Advisory Committee needs volunteers! Check them out at their meeting on Thursday. Cemeteries aren’t that scary if they’re well maintained and you make friends with the ghosts.
My excuse for not losing any weight, Breaking Bread in Bowdoinham, is happening in the usual place on Friday. Also happening on Friday, a May Day Basket crafting class.
Support Mt. Ararat Senior Sophia Shannon by checking out her Capstone Project on Saturday and Sunday, an exhibit titled “Entangled Rights”. We'd tell you what it's about but don't want to ruin the surprise.
Sunday is a very special 2nd dose of Breaking Bread in Bowdoinham, but this time with TACOS! Cinco de Mayo without tacos is like Celebrate Bowdoinham without the KenDucky Derby. Why bother, right?
There’s more info about these and other events down below, so keep scrolling.
Bowdoinhammer is brought to you by West Maquoit Vinegar Works
We recommend using their Cranberry Vinegar to make pickled red onions. So delicious on salads and sandwiches!
Supporting local businesses is good for everyone.
Not this week but soon:
Open Farm & Studio Day is on July 28th. The organizers are looking for vendor participants. If that’s you, or you want more info, yeet an email to [email protected] and they’ll give you the deets. Registration closes on May 15th.
