Will it ever stop raining on Sundays?
Bowdoinhammer - Week of July 1st to the 7th
Happy July, Bowdoinhammer!
We’re glad to see you again. Thank you for lending us your eyeballs.
This week’s Highlights:
It’s Trivia Night at Three Robbers Pub on Monday, for all you know-it-alls.
Also, the Town Office will have extended hours Monday - Wednesday (probably because they’ll be closed on Thursday and Friday).
The Community Development Advisory Committee meets on Tuesday. If you have an interest in community and economic development for Bowdoinham, they’re looking for three new committee members. Here’s the link to reach out.
The Summer Concert Series featuring Cilantro that was supposed to happen on Sunday was rescheduled for Wednesday because of rain. This means Bowdoinham Public Library won’t be catering the food for this event but that’s OK- you could still donate in a different way.
Thursday is Independence Day! Wait until Saturday to put out your trash, or else the crows will get at it.
This Saturday will be the first Saturday of the month, so the Recycling Barn will be able to take your pre-sorted recyclables. Later on, you can catch some Shakespeare in the park. Later, later on, you can catch the season finale of Merrymeeting Music House Concerts. It’s sure to be a good show because they asked us to mention it!
Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain on Sunday (again), so the Summer Concert in the park can happen as scheduled.
There’s more information about these and other events below, so keep scrolling.
Bowdoinham doesn’t have an official fireworks celebration on Independence Day. Everyone knows we prefer our sky-bangers in September.
The town of Bath puts on its Heritage Days celebration from July 4th to the 7th this year. They do a parade around 10, and fireworks around 9. There’s a whole carnival of things to do in between.
We don’t usually plug events for other towns, but this one isn’t that bad.
