I wish there were a way to slow summer down.

Bowdoinhammer - Week of July 29th to August 4th.

Happy Monday!

It’s gonna be a whole new month soon, Bowdoinhammer! Aren’t you excited? It seems like this summer has a rocket attached to it.

Anyway, here’s the highlights:

  1. Kids in grades 3 through 5 get another Summer Art Camp this week, with the wonderful Katie Hudak.

  2. The Planning Board visits the SammCo site on Monday. Does the town get a couple more apartment buildings?

  3. If you were going to miss the Town Hall Committee meeting last week, don’t worry. They rescheduled it for Wednesday this week.

  4. I don’t know how I’m expected to maintain my summer bod when Sylvester's Fish & Chips will be serving up seafood at Mailly Waterfront Park from Friday to Sunday. Oh, well. I’ma get those clams.

  5. This Saturday is the first Saturday of the month, so you know what that means… The Recycling Barn will take source-separated materials for recycling.

  6. The Nat Hussey Band will be playing at the waterfront on Sunday. Don’t worry, there will be food this time.

There’s more information about these and other events further down, so keep on scrollin’.

We were on our way to play pickleball at the school the other day, and found out that our road was closed at both ends! “What the heck!?” I said as I drove around the Road Closed sign. It turns out, they were prepping the sides of the road for paving. If you’re curious about the paving projects going on around town, check out this page on the town’s website.
